Strictly: Layton Williams announces he’s joined the cast of 2023

Layton Williams has shared one major detail about his partner on Strictly Come Dancing for the upcoming series of the BBC show.

The musical theatre star, who also appeared in BBC comedy series bad education, will take to the dance floor this autumn in an attempt to win the coveted glitterball trophy.

While the celebrities’ professional dance partners for this year have not yet been announced, Layton has confirmed that he will “100%” be in a same-sex pairing.

Other previous same-sex pairings for the show have included Nicola Adams and Katya Jones, Giovanni Pernice and Richie Anderson and John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.

The latter couple made it all the way to the Strictly finals, proving that such pairings can be hugely effective on the dance floor.
