Sunday Brunch returned to Channel 4 with Simon Rimmer and Tim Lovejoy introducing their guests, Tracy-Ann Oberman, Iain Stirling, Michelle de Swarte, Joe Cornish and RAYE. The presenters welcomed some of the guests for their first-ever appearance on the cooking show but even fresh faces couldn’t keep viewers from switching over.

The hosts tried to fill time as they spoke to their guests about their first time on the show and even discussed their love of heating systems to fill the gaps.

After the first break, Tim thanked viewers for returning, saying he had just had to spend the past few minutes speaking to Simon about heating.

The hosts proceeded to have a conversation about when the right time to put the heating on is, and how to bleed radiators.

They gave each of their guests a radiator bleeding key and it was at this point that viewers started to give up.

Wonderthunder said: “So bad everyone taking the p*** even the presenters out of #SundayBrunch it’s really had its day now, I tune in hoping for change but still the same old tumbleweed b******.”

WarrenPeace added: “#Sundaybrunch is usually pretty bad, but today Tracey Ann Oberman is on, so definitely switching off.”

Ariadne Griffin said: “Tim Lovejoy passing around a bowl full of (radiator) keys, is it? #SundayBrunch”

EvenFredsHappy1 joked: “Think I’m actually warming to the radiator chat. Stockholm syndrome and all that #SundayBrunch”

G shared: “Not many more awkward things to watch #SundayBrunch painful.”

Boris Nose added: “Another week of no-mark guests where absolutely no one has a clue as to who they are. Gonna be a quiet #sundaybrunch hashtag today.”

Tony commented: “I find Stirling’s voice irritating. Can’t watch today. Have a fine day everyone. #SundayBrunch”

However, there were some fans who stuck with the show, with Catherine Gibb saying: “Sunday mornings were made for leisurely brunches with friends and family.

Elsewhere on the show, chef Big Has cooked up some Tantuni wraps which went down a hit with host Simon.

Cupcake Jemma was also on hand to promote her new book and discuss her most popular creations.

She showcased her cornflake crunch, salted caramel pretzel cookie sandwich and tiramisu cake.

This segment was one of the guests’ favourite moments as they dived into the sweet treats.

Iain Stirling said he “could cry” with happiness as it brought some happiness to his difficult week.

Sadly viewers were less easy to please as they continued to yawn over Sunday’s edition.
