But Leyla isn't the only one to be displeased about Priya moving away.
When he gets wind that she intends on leaving the eponymous village with Amba, David Metcalfe is determined to take control.
After feeling on top of the world, Priya falls apart when she realises that David has kidnapped their daughter Amba.
Jacob and Eric Pollard are desperately trying to fix things, begging Priya not to call the police.
Meanwhile, Leyla is thrown to find out the shopkeeper vanished, kidnapping Amba and Theo – she decides to help.
The wedding planner manages to track David down at an unknown cottage.
Confronted with his defensive behaviour as he's shocked to find her at the door, Leyla comes to the conclusion he's in denial and accuses him of running away from his problems.
Matters go from bad to worse when a spiralling David locks Leyla in the bathroom.
Back in the village, Priya is tired of waiting for David to come to his senses… and makes a call to the police.
