BANKS traditionally close their doors on bank holidays – and the Christmas Bank Holiday period is no exception.
More shops, retailers, restaurants and businesses are closing their doors for longer to give their staff some much-needed time off this festive season.
Banks and the London Stock Exchange will close in England and Wales over the Christmas period.
Since it's a bank holiday, you shouldn't expect your local bank to be open either.
This will mean that you'll have to go without using branch services on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and the substituted Christmas Day Bank Holiday on Tuesday, December 27.
Cash machines will remain unaffected so you'll still be able to get cash out during the period of branch closures.
