Malia and Sasha Obama showed off their sisterly bond while grabbing coffee together in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday before going about their days.

The siblings, who share an apartment, were spotted in a parking lot with their to-go beverages in their hands after they kicked off their morning with a trip to a coffee shop.

It’s unclear if the sisters spent the day together or went their separate ways after their pitstop, which was miles away from their apartment.

Sasha moved to Los Angeles after transferring to the University of Southern California, and she was likely headed to the school’s nearby campus.

She looked like the typical college student with her coffee cup in her hand as hopped behind the fuzzy pink steering wheel of her black hatchback.

Her dark hair was messily pulled back with a claw clip, but her signature acrylic nails were painted black and perfectly manicured.

Sasha, who is believed to be a college senior, has been spotted strolling around campus between classes a number of times since she transferred schools.

If Malia had work in the area, they may have carpooled.

Malia moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a screenwriter after graduating from Harvard University last year. She scored a lucrative position working on Donald Glover’s upcoming Amazon show about a ‘Beyoncé-type character.’

She previously worked as an intern on Lena Dunham’s HBO series Girls in 2015 and at The Weinstein Company in 2017 before making it into the writer’s room.

Glover, who is also known by his stage name Childish Gambino, confirmed in March that he gave the former first daughter her first job writing for the series, which is tentatively titled ‘Hive.’

‘She’s just like, an amazingly talented person,’ he told Vanity Fair of Malia. ‘She’s really focused, and she’s working really hard.’

Sasha followed in her big sister’s footsteps months later after transferring to USC from the University of Michigan.

Their mother, former First Lady Michelle Obama, recently opened up about their relationship on the Today show on November 14.

‘The thing that I love the most is that those two girls are each other’s best friends,’ she shared during her sit-down with hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.

The mom noted that her daughters have not always gotten along, but she believes their shared experience of growing up in the public eye as first daughters has cemented their unbreakable bond as adults.

‘There was a period of time when they couldn’t stand each other, and I said, “You wait, you are going to wake up one day and you’re going to look over at that other person, and you’re going to know that you two share something very unique,’ especially given what they’ve been through,”‘ she explained.

‘To see them in that place where they’re one another’s support systems and they’ve got each other’s backs, it’s the thing that a mother would want.’

Michelle recalled how her daughters invited her and her husband, Barack Obama, to their apartment for drinks during a recent visit while reflecting on what it has been like to watch them navigate adulthood.

‘We were going to take them to dinner, and they said, “Why don’t you come over to our spot for cocktails?”‘ she said. ‘And we were like, “OK let’s see what this is going to be like.”

‘The martinis were a little weak,’ she admitted. ‘I don’t think they really knew what it was.’

Michelle also shared her amusement over her daughters’ uncharacteristic insistence that they use coasters in their apartment.

‘When we got the glasses they were like, “Use a coaster,” and I’m like, “You never used a coaster in my house,”‘ she said. ‘So now when it’s your stuff, you want to take care of it?’

Malia and Sasha have received regular visits from their high-profile parents, and they seem to be loving life on the West Coast. They are both believed to be in relationships at the moment, though they are incredibly private.

DailyMail.com exclusively revealed in April that Sasha was dating Clifton Powell Jr., 24, who is the son of Ray actor Clifton Powell, while Malia has been linked to music producer Dawit Eklund.

Dawit, 33, is the son of retired State Department officer Jon Eklund, who worked at several U.S. embassies in Africa, and his Ethiopian wife, Yeshi.

The sisters may be coupled up, but their mother made it clear during her recent appearance on the Tamron Hall Show that she wants them to wait until they are older to get married.

‘Too many young people are rushing to check the box of marriage before they even know who they are, and then they’re surprised when they pick the wrong person, or they don’t know how to struggle through hard times,’ Michelle explained.

‘I want my girls to spend some time with themselves to develop some skills to understand that they can make it with or without, that they can build their happiness with all the bells and whistles and they can be happy if they choose to only focus on their career, to never have kids. I want to make their worlds bigger for them.’
