Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has shared the sad news that her beloved dog has died in a heart-breaking post.
Amanda, 48, announced that the family’s sheepdog Kate passed away in her sleep on Instagram on Friday.
The devastated star posted a couple of photos of herself with her pooch, as she confirmed the news.
Amanda captioned: “Then there’s the other kind of mourning”, adding a prayer sign emoji.
She continued: "Where you go to get your faithful workmate, companion, colleague & friend from her kennel. Only to find that she has passed away in her sleep.
The grieving star signed off with a crying face emoji, following the sad update.
Amanda’s tragedy comes after she suffered another blow last month, as it was revealed that her show Our Yorkshire Farm was cancelled, after splitting from ex-husband Clive.
The bad news didn’t stop there, as Amanda was axed from the Channel 5 show’s spin-off series, which was offered to ex-husband Clive instead.
Amanda met Clive aged 21 in 1995 as she started working on farms across Wiltshire and Cumbria.
The pair eventually married in 2000 and went on to have nine children as they settled on a farm in Yorkshire.
Clive’s spin-off show is named Beyond The Yorkshire Farm: Reuben & Clive, and follows his travelling adventures with eldest son Reuben.
The new series is set to launch on Channel 5 on December 6 at 9pm.
Following the cancellation news, Amanda responded on Twitter: “There’s horsepower and there’s horsepower.
“Come rain or shine we ride out storms…resilience and strength comes as standard.”
Later, she added: “Today has definitely had its moments! But after each little setback came a small victory. Thank goodness for teamwork.”
Despite her axing, Amanda hinted to fans that she’ll be back on TV screens again, for "future Owen Family projects".
Amanda and Clive announced their split in June this year, after much speculation the pair separated.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Amanda said at the time: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate. This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family.
"Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children."
