Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison has been praised by fans as she showed off her "cellulite and tummy roles" in Instagram snaps encouraging body positivity.
The TV star 35, took to Instagram earlier today (November 22), adding that the snaps show her reality which she is: "not only not ashamed of, but f**king proud of."
In the first selfie, Vicky wears a black bikini and shows off her figure, as she encourages fans not get "hung up" on how people appear on social media, adding that this can be misleading.
Following this she shares a number of candid and make-up free selfies, and one photo showing her "tummy rolls".
In the post's lengthy caption, she says: "Social media can often be misleading… After nothing more than a quick scroll through Instagram it can convince you that everyone has the perfect body, no one ever takes a bad picture, everyone's skin is perfectly smooth and they all have their sh*t together…
"I'd like to think I show both sides of the coin on my Instagram… but after a little flick through this morning I realised there were probably far too many carefully curated glam shots and fancy ads- so here is some of my reality- a reality that I am not only not ashamed of, but f**king proud of."
She continues: "I am 35, I have wrinkles, cellulite, dimpled skin, tummy rolls, absolutely NO lips compared to everyone else on here it seems and double chins… I have good angles and bad, I have good days and bad… and none of this makes me any less of a good person or less deserving of self love."
Vicky then shared a message to her followers, telling them to not "get too hung up" on the "perfect" side of social media, adding that people shouldn't let these "glam shots" influence how they feel about themselves.
She adds: "You are special, beautiful and deserving of love regardless of what clothes size you wear, whether your kitchen is tidy or whether your skin is perfectly smooth… Don't let Instagram and all of its bulls**t convince you otherwise.. Don't let it change you- you're YOU… and that is your super power."
Fans were quick to praise the post and Vicky's message, with one writing: "LEGEND!!!! So many women need to see this."
Another added: "You’ve no idea how badly I needed to see this. I’m in the process of recovering from bulimia after a long 13 year battle and seeing how real and refreshing you are is a massive help to me. You’re absolutely gorgeous x"
And a third commented: "You have no idea how many girls you are helping by sharing this – here’s hoping they don’t have the same battles we have."
While a fourth said: "thanks for the post I feel like you I’ve changed my mindset just before heading to bed after a long tiring day."
Vicky has previously spoken about body positivity and confidence while discussing Love Island with OK! when she said: "Everyone on Love Island is gorgeous, but there's more than one way to be beautiful and all bodily shapes are deserving of celebration and love!
"I think it's important to remember that when watching love island as it's easy to get sucked in and forget you're lovely just as you are."
