Next Premier League manager sacked: Leeds boss Jesse Marsch ODDS-ON favourite to leave, Antonio Conte price slashed | The Sun

LEEDS manager Jesse Marsch is now favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked.

That's according to bookmakers Sky Bet, who've dramatically altered their betting markets following Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Fulham at Elland Road.

Steven Gerrard, 42, became the FIFTH top-flight boss to be relieved of his duties shortly after last week's loss at Craven Cottage.

He joins Scott Parker, Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter and Bruno Lage, who've all left their positions in the 2022-23 campaign.

But who's next?

Sky Bet think Marsch is the most likely to be AXED and have slashed his price from 11/4 heading into the weekend fixture to 1/3 on Monday morning.

Leeds have now lost six of their last eight matches with their last victory coming against Chelsea in August.

The result leaves the Yorkshire outfit in the relegation zone (18th), two points adrift from West Ham and Leicester having played a game less.

Next manager to leave their role (6th)

Sky Bet odds

  • Jesse Marsch – 1/3 WAS 11/4
  • Ralph Hasenhuttl – 5/1
  • Thomas Frank – 8/1
  • Antonio Conte – 9/1 WAS 16/1
  • Brendan Rodgers – 12/1
  • Frank Lampard – 16/1
  • Steve Cooper – 16/1
  • David Moyes – 20/1
  • Jurgen Klopp – 25/1
  • Roberto De Zerbi – 33/1

It was a difficult afternoon for Marsch with the last 10 minutes played out to the sound of chants against him and the club's board.

The final whistle greeted by boos from around the ground.

Leeds now take on Liverpool, Bournemouth and Tottenham before the World Cup in Qatar takes place in November.

Ralph Hasenhuttl is next in the market at 5/1.

Things had looked bleak for the Austrian on the south coast but Sunday's 1-1 draw with Arsenal means Southampton are unbeaten in three.

Brentford's Thomas Frank is next at 8/1, but the big market-mover is Antonio Conte at Tottenham.

The Italian was offered at 16/1 following the club's 2-0 defeat to Manchester United, but has almost halved to 9/1 after losing 2-1 at home to Newcastle.

Back-to-back Premier League defeats have left third-placed Spurs five points off the top having played one game more.

Conte told reporters: "We need time and patience and, also for sure, money.

"For me it is not easy, it is not simple but we have to cope and to manage the situation with experience and stay together."
