IF your cups are gaping or your band feel very loose, it could be a sign that you're in need of a new bra.

Luckily, a professional bra fitter has revealed three of the easiest ways you can tell whether you're wearing the correct bra size for you.

The expert, who posts under the acronym @thebragenie, took to TikTok and shared a short clip where she begins: "Hey ya'll – so most of you know most women wear the wrong bra size."

"So I'm going to share a couple of tips on how to find the right bra for you."

First things first, you want to start with the gore – that's the wire between the two cups, so you want this to sit and tap across your chest – right between your breasts."

If it does tend to wing away, this means you're either over-tightening your straps or the back band might not be the correct fit."

She goes on to say how the second thing is the back band.

"You want to have about a two-three finger pull," she continues.

"And you also want to start your bra on the loosest hook, that way when it starts to stretch over time you can tighten it and get more wear out of your bra."

The expert notes that the third to consider is the wires.

"You always want the wire to sit behind the breast tissue," she says.

She then instructs: "Pull your breast forward – not when it sits in the front and doesn't wing out -and the wire needs to line up with the crease of your armpit."

The post has since racked up 911,000 views and been flooded with comments from grateful social media users.
