Love Island’s Amber Beckford: Everything you need to know about nanny from London

After a long wait,Love Island is back on screens on 6 June with a new group of singletons hoping to find love.

With this year’sline-up being revealed , here’s all you need to know about Amber Beckford.

The beauty, 24, works as a nanny and lives in London. She explained why now is the right time for her to enter the Love Island villa.

“I think it just feels like the right time. This year it definitely feels like it’s two feet in. I feel like now I’m most definitely ready, and wanting to look for a boyfriend.”

Working as a nanny has left Amber with plenty of patience, though not for adults: “As I work with kids I have patience with kids but adults, they annoy me!”

She adds that she hopes to bring some fun to the villa: “Have some chit chat with the girls. I can definitely be opinionated so I’m not sure how that’s going to go down.”

Though, when it comes to what she doesn’t like, Amber certainly knows her mind: “I don’t like guys that show off.

“I don’t like flashy, showy-offy guys – just have a personality and make me laugh.”

She explained that one bad experience made her realise this: “There was this one guy and he was trying to purposefully show off his car keys and we were literally in the middle of a restaurant!”

The brunette beauty prides herself on her appearance and her Instagram is full of plenty of stunning snaps.

Amber is no stranger to flaunting her incredible figure and love for the big labels to her grid while soaking up the sun in the likes of Dubai and Cannes.

The lineup comes as Love Island announced their comeback date on Twitter earlier this month.

The post read: "Here's your first hot date of the summer #LoveIsland is back Monday 6th June on @itv2 and @itvhub!"

Fans were quick to share their excitement as one wrote: "I really can't wait so so happy right now the Summer of love 2022 or maybe not lolzzzzzzxxxx we shall see buzzing".

Another added: "Roll on the summer of love, falling out and making up, recouplings and not forgetting…Casa Amor!"

Show bosses previously revealed the programme would be moving to a new location on the Spanish island, after previously being filmed in a property in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar region in the north-east for five years.

The new Mallorcan mansion boasts six bedrooms and sits at the foot of a hill in a rural area of the island.

Love Island returns to ITV2 and ITV Hub on Monday 6 June at 9pm.
