Simon Cowell has put his six bedroom Wimbledon mansion up for sale for an eye-watering £17million after never living in it.
The 62 year old bought the house with his fiancée Lauren Silverman, 44, in 2018 but after making extensive refurbishments has reportedly decided to stay at his Holland Park home in west London.
The house is on the market for £2million more than he purchased it for – but with the amount of work put into the property, it's thought Simon won't make back a lot of the money spent.
According to Daily Mail, the 1900s period house has been stripped back to brick, with walls, ceilings and floors being removed.
The publication adds: "New suites are thought to have been installed in the six bathrooms, while there is a new kitchen on the ground floor of the three-storey home alongside five reception rooms.
"Other features include a gym, a large playroom and a double garage. Plans have been approved for a swimming pool in the half-acre landscaped grounds."
Photos obtained by the newspaper show the house has a modern and neutral decoration throughout, with whites shown in the kitchen and one of the reception rooms.
It is reported that Simon and Lauren made "trial" runs to their eight year old son Eric's school 14 miles away, which sometimes took up to two hours.
A source told the paper: "Simon and Lauren fancied a change. They wanted to get out of central London and go somewhere a little more leafy.
"They wanted clean air and to make it their long-term family home. They spent a lot of time and money on it, but things just didn't work out, so they have decided to put it on the market and stay put."

Simon and Lauren are currently planning to tie the knot, with it being reported their wedding will take place next month.
A source previously told OK!: "It will be very small and intimate, they don't want any drama. It's going to be true friends and Lauren's family from America.
"Sinitta's invite is up for discussion, she probably will be there because she's known Simon for a very long time, but Lauren is set on it not being a big celebrity affair."
However, it has been reported that one famous face who has been invited is former The X Factor judge Cheryl.
A source told Closer: "He's hoping that by reaching out and sending an invite, it'll prove to her how important she is to him and how much he wants to get things back to the way they were."
It was added to the publication that the songstress was "extremely touched" to have received the invitation as she is aware Simon and Lauren's nuptials aren't a "big star-studded affair".
