THE Chase has long been a staple of early evening telly in Britain.
But fans tuning in tonight (May 16, 2022) will be surprised to see that the ITV quiz show isn't on.
Why isn't The Chase on ITV tonight?
The Chase usually kicks off every weeknight at 5pm on ITV.
But this evening (May 16, 2022) the quiz show isn't on because spin off show Beat the Chasers is on ITV later on tonight.
Instead at 5pm you can watch Adil Ray's quiz show, Lingo, which will replace The Chase all week.
Lingo sees three teams of two contestants compete against each other to fill in the blanks and find words.

Over a series of rounds the prize money gets bigger, but so does the risk – fail to find the right word and your opponent gets the chance to jump in and take the money.
In the End Game, the last pair standing can double their prize fund, but if they can’t find the words, they could go home with nothing.

The new series of Beat the Chasers begins tonight (May 16, 2022) on ITV at 9pm.
Unfortunately, Anne 'The Governess' Hegerty won't be appearing in the upcoming episodes.

Who hosts Beat The Chasers?
As usual, Bradley Walsh returns to host the ITV quiz show.
He has been presenting the show since the original series, The Chase, launched in 2009.
As well as being a TV host, he is also an actor and is known for Doctor Who and Coronation Street.
