Harry Maguire and Fred Man Utd’s two MOST-IMPORTANT players say incredible stats, despite fierce criticism from fans

MANCHESTER UNITED skipper Harry Maguire has often come under fire this season, but his stats since the summer prove he is actually one of the club's two MOST-IMPORTANT players.

The 29-year-old has been subject to flak for his performances, and was even booed by England fans at Wembley in March.

Fred too has been subject to criticism at times, despite enjoying something of a revival before his recent injury setback.

But the pair actually boast the highest Premier League win percentage out of anyone who has played 10 or more games for United this season.

That includes 18-goal forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Brazilian midfielder Fred has helped United pick up three points in 14 of his 27 Prem clashes, a win percentage of 51.9 percent.

It's the best winning record out of anyone in Ralf Rangick's squad who are into double digits for league appearances.

And while the record is hardly flattering, the stat is impressive considering United have only won 16 Prem games in total this season.

Maguire's win percentage meanwhile is the second best at the club.

The newly-married England defender has won 15 of his 29 Prem games, a win percentage of 51.7 percent.

But while the pair are United's most successful players this term, they are no match for cross-town rival Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Manchester City man boasts the best winning record out of anyone in the league, coming out on top in an incredible 91.7 percent of Prem matches that he's played.

While Zinchenko is on course for another Premier League title, Maguire and Fred's records haven't stopped United from setting their lowest ever Prem points tally.

Regardless of the result in the season finale away at Crystal Palace on May 22, the Red Devils are already confirmed for their worst ever points haul in the Prem era.
