Who is The Netherlands' Eurovision entry?

S10 is the stage name of Stein den Hollander, a Dutch singer, songwriter and rapper, from Hoorn, North Holland.

Born on November, 8 2000, S10 began her musical career in 2016 when she self-released her first minI-album Antipsychotica – which led to her signing a record deal at the age of 17.

Since then S10 has released her debut album Snowsniper – which earned her Netherlands’ most prestigious music award, an Edison.

She released her second album Vlinders in 2020 and scored a hit single in 2021 with Adam je in, which she wrote with Dutch artist Jacqueline Govaert.

She revealed she felt she would "explode with joy" at being picked to perform at Eurovision.

S10 said: "Music is everything to me. I hope my music can bring something to other people’s lives, simply because it has done so much for me."

What song is S10 singing at Eurovision 2022?

S10 will be performing De Diepte in Dutch.

The song title translates as The Depth or The Deep – in the song S10 sings about mental health and the feeling of being depressed, lost or confused.

S10 said she wanted to create a love song to her own sadness and memories – wanting listeners to feel like they are not alone and can overcome anything.

S10 also shared her excitement of having a platform to highlight the range of different emotions artists can bring to their music.

How many times has The Netherlands won Eurovision Song Contest?

The Netherlands' first entered the competition in 1956, and have since won the song contest five times.

The first victory for the Netherlands' was in 1957 when Brokken won with her song Net All Then.

Two years later, Teddy Scholten represented the Netherlands and won with Een Beetje.

The country's third win came ten years later when Lenny Kuhr won with her song De Troubadour.

In 1975 Teach-In took first place with their song Ding-A-Dong.

Netherlands' final victory was in 2019 when Duncan Laurence claimed first place with his song Arcade.

The Eurovision 2022 final will air on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 8pm.
