EastEnders' Charlie Wernham ties the knot in lavish Essex ceremony

EastEnders star Charlie Wernham tied the knot with his partner Emma Collis on Saturday.

The 27-year-old actor who is best known to audiences for portraying Robbie Roscoe in Hollyoaks between 2013 and 2016, made his Albert Square debut last year.

However, his former co-stars celebrated his and Emma’s special day which took place at the Gosfield Hall wedding venue in Essex.

Jessica Ellis – who played Tegan Lomax on the hit Channel 4 soap – posted a series of pictures on her Instagram page, one of which showed the happy couple sitting together at the wedding reception.

Alongside the snaps, she wrote: ‘Well thank you very much mr and mrs wernham for the most amazing day!’

Real life Hollyoaks couple Daisy Wood-Davis (Kim Butterfield ) and Luke Jerdy (Luke Donovan) also highlighted the joyous occasion on social media.

‘Celebrating Mr & Mrs Wernham’s happily ever after,’ she wrote.

Charlie and Emma confirmed their engagement on Instagram on Valentine’s Day in 2021.

‘Happy Valentine’s Day to this absolute Treacle,’ he penned.

‘I’m grateful for you everyday. I can’t wait to say ‘I do’ and create more memories.’

Charlie, who plays Aaron Monroe on the BBC One soap, has starred in The Man in the Orange Shirt and The Filth and the Fury, as well as landing film roles in Bad Education: The Movie and Hooligan Escape. 

The star first came to the attention of the public when he auditioned as a comedian for the second series of Britain’s Got Talent back in 2008, making the semi-finals.
