Gentle Monster and Hood By Air have teamed up again on a new collection inspired by the rebellious hustle and bustle culture of New York City. Marrying futuristic shapes with sporty, aerodynamic accents, the Korean eyewear brand elevates the form and function of its fashion-forward sunnies. Gentle Monster x Hood By Air presents two distinct silhouettes: “Antagonist” and “Mother.”
The street fashion brands reunite to capture the distinct energy of NYC and channel the go-getter magnetism of the Big Apple through voluminous, geometric frames. The goggle-style “Antagonist” sunglasses are available in four colorways (black, white, pink and red) and feature grey, brown and red mirrored lenses, respectively, offering 99.9% UV protection. The rims resemble the appearance of motorcycle frames with a sleek, flattened bridge. An embossed metallic logo accents the temple to maintain the visual identities of each brand.
“Mother” is a square silhouette clad in black acetate contrasted by gold-tinted braided detailing at the temple and orange, UV-protected mirrored lenses. The HBA logo appears at the lower corner of the frame. “Mother” is exclusively available to U.S. consumers.1 of 5
