Rob Beckett says ‘ITV are p***ed off’ after he let slip Masked Singer character

The Masked Singer star Rob Beckett has left "ITV p***ed off" with him after he "accidentally revealed" his character on the show.

The 36-year-old teased fans by insisting he is one of the mysterious characters on the ITV show before letting slip he is in fact Traffic Cone.

It is believed the comedian is winding fans up after he posted a tweet which was supposedly meant for his social media team.

He wrote: "Just send this out once I’ve been unmasked."

He added: "Thanks for all the support being the Traffic Cone I absolutely loved it. Great show. The kids couldn’t believe it was me."

Rob took to Twitter last night telling fans: "Look ITV are p***ed off with me. The tweet was an accident.

"I’ve been quiet the last few days. They still won’t pay me so I don’t care anymore. I’m traffic cone. Don’t give a s*** if it’s a spoiler."

Some fans believe it is a long-running joke unless he is actually double-bluffing.

Several fans who believe he is telling the truth have shared their thoughts on his reveal online.

One penned: "Noooooooooooo you just ruined it for me."

Another added: "I’m literally only going to watch it to find out if that’s true now."

However, others "can't believe" people have fallen for Rob's bluff saying he is Traffic Cone.

One wrote: "You wish you could sing that well!"

Another fan added: "I cannot believe how many people have fallen for this."

Last night, the fifth character Poodle was given the boot from the ITV series and was exposed as Keane star Tom Chaplin.

Fans were left gobsmacked as host Joel Dommett announced who was axed.

One fan penned: "As if the lead singer of Keane was poodle? I did not see that coming."

Another said: "Well @tomchaplin had me completely fooled! Didn't want Poodle to go home but I was embarrassingly overexcited to see it was him"

A third person posted: "I totally thought Poodle was @LeeMack"

While a fourth viewer said: "I was convinced poodle was Mika so that was a fun surprise reveal #MaskedSingerUK."

The Masked Singer continues Saturday on ITV and ITV Hub at 7pm
