The rapper-turned-pop-rocker, 31, has finally released the long-awaited nail polish line, UN/DN LAQR, which was inspired by self-expression and creativity for all. Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, developed and launched the lacquer line in collaboration with Laguna Beach brand incubator Unlisted.

“I don’t like to just stop at clothes when it comes to expressing who I am,” Kelly said in a press release shared with Us Weekly’s Stylish. “Nail polish serves as a true vessel of self-expression. I can express myself one way today and do it all again tomorrow with something different.”

It’s never been a better time to be a beauty entrepreneur, industry global sales topped $445 billion last year. With the launch, Kelly joins a growing list of male celebrities jumping into the beauty industry for a piece of that action. Earlier this year, Lil Yachty launched his nail paint line, Crete, and more recently, Harry Styles debuted a non-binary beauty brand, Pleasing.

Kelly told Allure that the brand was less of a business and more so an extension of himself as a creator. He also revealed that the constant headlines about his nails over the last year have been a deliberate attempt to get his name associated with nail polish.

The collection features 10 colors and five topcoats, including a dark black shade called Depressionist. There’s a mix of neutrals, pastels, and bold lacquers, like Writer’s Block, a milky gray, 25 to Life, and deep hunter green called Mary Jane. The line maintains a vegan and cruelty-free status.

Additionally, the brand will drop eight curated trio sets and three polish kits. Each polish goes for $18, with sets and kits priced at $52 and $86.

“It’s been an honor to work with Machine Gun Kelly to transcend the nail polish category and foster a cultural shift that has been a long time coming,” Candy Harris, founder, and chief executive officer of Unlisted Brand Lab, said in a statement. “This is just the beginning, we are setting out to bring a new voice to beauty with a lifestyle brand that will spark a conversation well beyond the color drops.”
