Has there ever been a better food and drug pairing that cannabis and the humble chocolate brownie?
The high-inducing snack is a staple of house parties and coffee shops in Amsterdam, giving the double hit of chocolatey goodness and a buzz from the weed.
But you will never have seen a weed brownie like this one. It is a truly Jurassic feat, a monster of the world of baked goods, and it could get you – and everybody you know – seriously high.
The world’s largest cannabis-infused brownie has been made by Massachusetts-based company MariMed – who are celebrating the launch of their first line of (normal sized) ‘space cakes’.
The giant version measures 3ft wide by 3ft long and is 15 inches tall – weighing a whopping 850 pounds.
It is also said to contain 20,000mg of THC: the main psychoactive compound in cannabis that produces the high sensation.
The firm unveiled the oversized treat to commemorate the launch of the Bubby’s Baked brand of brownies: a single-serving brownie containing a more manageable 5mg of THC.
MariMed chief product officer Ryan Crandall says: ‘For many of us, homemade brownies were our first taste of cannabis-infused edibles.
‘Bubby’s recreates and elevates that nostalgic experience, infusing full-spectrum, craft-quality cannabis into timeless recipes, for a reliable high reminiscent of simpler times.’
