This Morning fans horrified as woman spends £4k on her dog for Christmas

THIS Morning fans were left horrified today by a woman who spends £4,000 on her dog just for Christmas.

Lisa, from Pontypridd, appeared on the show alongside her beloved dog Fabio and revealed she has spent £20k in total on the Chinese Crested Powderpuff in this year alone.

The pampered pooch was dressed in a festive outfit with Elton John inspired shades – and a bowtie that cost a whopping £1.5k.

Speaking about her decision to spend so much money on her pet, Lisa explained: “Everyone knows I am a big charity worker as well, I give a lot to charity. I like to spend money on my dog because I have no children.

“What changed my life, my mum was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and she had six months to live.

“She was well and fit and happy and all of a sudden life was snatched away from her and me.  It changed my perspective on everything and from that moment on I thought ‘you know what there is so much doom and gloom in the world and this makes me happy’. I am not hurting anyone.”

Lisa was chatting from a Christmas grotto she had made inside her shed especially for the dog.

She revealed an incredible amount of gifts she has got for him this year – including crystal encrusted bowties, Chanel inspired outfits and berets to match hers.

Those watching at home were gobsmacked and somewhat concerned for Fabio, while others were furious that This Morning were even featuring her.

One person wrote: “Someone save Fabio!!! It’s a cry for help #ThisMorning.”

A second added: “For anyone who has dogs knows that the constant yawning and licking of lips is appeasement which means the dog is stressed. Panting, pacing, and so on which eventually leads to a bite. Dogs will warn you first. Please take those outfits off and let the dog be a dog.#ThisMorning.”

While a third remarked: “Showing this woman spending £4k on her dog at Christmas is incredibly insensitive. Many people are struggling to put food on the table and pay their bills!!! Even working people… Come on #Thismorning you can do better!.”
