On Thursday’s BBC Breakfast, Naga Munchetty and Jon Kay were back to present the latest news headlines. The duo discussed a range of topics and spoke with a number of guests throughout the programme. However, towards the end of the show, Naga cheekily snubbed one of their guests.
Naga and Jon spoke with East Winch Wildlife Centre Manager, Evangelos Achilleos about baby seals.
Appearing via video link, Evangelos spoke about what he does to protect and care for the seals.
“We have been very busy,” the wildlife expert told them. “Since yesterday we have received another seal pup from Yorkshire.
“So, we have gone up to seven and we have 28 common pups in. So we have got over 30 seals in now.”
He continued: “The common season has just about finished, they give birth in the summertime and the grey season has just started over the last few weeks.”
Chipping into the chat, Naga said: “Evangelos I am sure you made an effort to come on BBC Breakfast this morning.
“You look very clean and nicely decked out in your suit and everything.”
“I really don’t want to see you,” the host cheekily continued. “I really want to see the seals.”
As their guest laughed, Naga added: “I hate to be rude but please can we see them?”
