Tammy Snyder Murphy, 56, is an American banker and former executive at Goldman Sachs.
She was also the chair of New Start New Jersey, a group she founded with her husband, Governor Phil Murphy.
Tammy was previously appointed to the University of Virginia Board of Visitors in 2015 and now serves as Honorary Chair of the New Jersey Council on the Green Economy.
She currently serves as Secretary and charter member of The Climate Reality Action Fund, an organization founded by former Vice-President Al Gore.

Murphy and Tammy first met at the University of Virginia in 1987 but remained acquaintances.
They crossed paths again at Goldman Sachs years later and went on a first date in January of 1994.
They reportedly hit it off instantly, getting engaged 18 days later and married six months after that.
That year, they relocated to Germany as Murphy was involved in the Goldman Sachs operation there.
Murphy and Tammy have four children: Josh, Emma, Charlie, and Sam Murphy.

Murphy made a fortune while working at Goldman Sachs and is reportedly worth over $50million.
