Those hoping for Bennifer 2.0’s big moment at the Met Gala 2021 red carpet were disappointed Monday night, as Jennifer Lopez walked the swanky event’s opening sans her better half.
Lopez hit the Gala in a Ralph Lauren ensemble that seemed to pick the Wild West as its jumping-off point from the Gala’s 2021 theme of American fashion. The outfit, in a restrained, shades-of-brown palette, featured a “Deadwood”-appropriate wide-brimmed hat, feathers-fur-and-fringe bolero jacket and jewelry accents in silver and leather.
Page Six previously revealed Lopez scored an early invite to this year’s Gala. She has been making the rounds in New York since the pair landed over the weekend. It is unknown if Affleck skipped the red carpet to meet up with her inside, or if he plans to walk solo later in the evening.
On Sunday, Lopez flew solo to make a surprise appearance at the VMAs to present the Song of the Year award to Olivia Rodrigo, stunning in a lace-up David Koma crop top and a sparkling cutout miniskirt.
Lopez, 52, is a staple at Vogue’s biggest night. Her first appearance was in 2004 and she has attended almost every year since.
And while fans thought Bennifer 2.0 would have their big debut at the Met Gala, the genetically blessed couple made a stunning appearance at the Venice Film Festival on Friday, where Affleck was promoting his new film, “The Last Duel.”
Page Six exclusively reported in April that the pair had rekindled their romance following her split from former Yankee Alex Rodriguez — who has been busy partying this weekend at NYFW with a slew of celebrity pals.
The couple have been photographed together constantly since they reunited. They previously dated and called off their engagement days before their wedding in September 2003.
