A pet fashion brand that sells luxury clothes and accessories for pets says dog owners are barking mad for its latest offering: cosy-looking shoes for canines that look just like UGGs.

Instagram retailer @veryimportantpuppies has been advertising the snug black paw-wear, which comes with a neon green fur trim, for £60 after apparently striking a partnership with Australian boot retailer UGG.

Photos shared on the company’s social media showed two adorable looking pets wearing an UGG-style boot on each of their four paws.

Enough to make a cat laugh? The four-legged footwear ‘is cast in rich faux suede with fluffy faux fur trim accents’

Happy customer: This doggy’s owner said their pooch found the paw wear very comfortable

The VIP x UGG dog booties comes in six sizes to suit all types of canine, the company’s Instagram page says.

Describing the product, VIP writes: ‘Turn heads on the street or at the dog park. Combining UGG’s iconic materials with our VIP utility-driven streetwear designs, our very first canine collab lets you treat your pup to the feeling of UGG.

‘Taking inspiration from the Classic Boot with signature overstitch seams, this four-legged footwear piece is cast in rich faux suede with fluffy faux fur trim accents.

‘Finished with a durable rubber out-sole to keep your pet covered, it features an easy-entry opening at the front of the boot and adjustable hook-and-loop strap that wraps around for a secure fit.’

And so far the boots have been such a huge hit, they’ve already sold out.

Though they are cheaper than the price of a pair of UGGs for humans – which cost up to £200 – some have criticised the price saying spending £60 on footwear for a dog who doesn’t need it is ridiculous.

One fumed: ‘S*** like this existing when people can’t eat keeps me awake. This world….’

Another added: ‘Any self-respecting dog would chew those off!’

A third asked: ‘Do you get four for £60? while a fourth added: ‘I hope so, imagine only being able to afford one.’
