Songstress Cher has taken to her social media to once again attack outgoing President Donald Trump.
The Walking In Memphis hitmaker has been vocal about her dislike for the businessman, who is approaching the end of his term in office.
Donald Trump, 74, is the first American President since George Bush Sr to fail to take a majority lead in securing a second term in The Whitehouse.
The Goddess of Pop, 74, has previously slammed Trump's handling of the coronavirus, insisting he is responsible for the big numbers of deaths.
Now, she has wildly claimed that the president keeps a copy of Hitler's manifesto Mein Kampf next to him as he sleeps.
Her bizarre claim comes 30 years after Trump's first wife, Ivana, was said to have told her lawyer that the then businessman kept a copy of Hitler's speeches next to his bed, as reported in a 1990 Vanity Fair article.
Addressing her 3.8 million Twitter followers, hitmaker Cher penned: "There's a reason Trump slept With Mein Kampf. He needed to create a cult of ppl who'd following him mindlessly."
She went on to add: "No thought of his evilness. He preached from Hitler's playbook, huge crowds, constant chaos, hate, Anti-Semitism, racism, annihilate laws & values.
"Choose criminals, friends, idiots."
Kathy Griffin investigated on claims she was 'planning to assassinate Donald Trump'
Since publishing her tweet, the post has been liked over 6,500 times by her followers.
In 1990, Trump told Vanity Fair that "Marty Davis from Paramount" gave him a copy of Mein Kampf, adding "and he's a Jew."
The Vanity Fair article about Trump then quotes Davis as having said: "I did give him a book about Hitler. But it was My New Order, Hitler's speeches, not Mein Kampf. I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I'm not Jewish."
While Trump went on to tell the US publication in the interview that "If I had these speeches, and I am not saying that I do, I would never read them."
Mein Kampf, published in 1925 is an autobiographical manifesto penned by Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler.
The controversial publication was originally penned when Hitler had been locked up for "political crimes" following a failed military coup in Munich in 1923.
He outlined his antisemitic views as well as his plans for Germany.
Cher, who openly endorsed President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris during the 2020 US Presidential Election, has previously used her social media page to issue a string of verbal attacks against golf resort owner Trump.
However, despite condemning the former The Apprentice star, she has also admitted that she does on occasions overstep the mark.
In a series of tweets, she said: "I am a kind person but I have a 'vendetta' side.
"Let's talk, I must try to be a beacon of light for you. Obviously didn't hear my higher angels,
"I feel ashamed, shame is important."
Daily Star has approached representatives for President Trump and Cher for further comment.
