Who doesn’t want to basically copy everything Jennifer Aniston does? After all, the actress is obviously doing something right — she is 51 years old, but could easily pass for a decade younger. So when it comes to her diet secrets and exercise routine, we are all ears! For instance, the star reportedly exercises seven days a week, changing up her routine to keep things interesting (via Harper’s Bazaar). Aniston’s personal trainer, Leyon Azubuike, also told Women’s Health he encourages his client to eat healthy fats. “I love avocados, coconut oil, salmon, fish oil — anything that’s a good form of fat is great,” he said.
The A-list actress has said she is a fan of intermittent fasting and will typically delay eating solid food for 16 hours, having breakfast around 10 a.m. “When I wake up, I have warm lemon water,” she told Elle in 2016. In the interview, Aniston shared another secret to how she starts her day — and, warning, it may surprise some people. “I’ll do oatmeal with an egg white whipped in at the end,” The Morning Show star said.
Why eggs in oatmeal isn't actually that weird
Explaining why she combines these two seemingly separate breakfast foods, Jennifer Aniston told Elle, “Justin [Theroux], my husband, taught me that little move to get extra protein! Right before [the oatmeal] is finished cooking, you just whip in an egg white and it kind of gives it this fluffy texture that’s delicious.”
Hear us out, because Aniston is really onto something. Although her marriage to Theroux didn’t last, we hope this habit did! You see, adding egg, a great source of protein, to oatmeal can make you feel fuller longer. As the Friends star said, adding egg can also boost oatmeal’s fluffiness and richness, making it less, well, blah (via MyRecipes). You may even want to toss some fruit and nuts into the mix for a truly unforgettable breakfast. Above all else, if it’s good enough for Jen Aniston, well then yeah, it’s good enough for us.
