Ryan Thomas and his brothers Scott and Adam became incredibly emotional as they confronted their father Dougie on walking out on them with they were children.
The three brothers have been tracing their family history on their new ITV documentary, Absolutely India: Mancs In Mumbai and headed to Goa in Wednesday’s episode with their father.
However, things took an emotional turn when soap stars Adam and Ryan and Love Island’s Scott spoke to their dad about his six year absence from their life when they were little.

Ryan explained on the show that he was forced to become a father figure to Scott and Adam after Dougie left shortly after splitting from their mother.
"Dad often has time out," Ryan's voiceover explained. ”And when we were growing up, that's exactly what he did.
"After our parents split up, he left home, and we didn't see him for six years. I was 11, and Adam and Scott were just seven."

"Even though dad came back into our lives," he continued, "And we're a loving family now, there's still a lot of hurt."
After enjoying a wellness session on the beach, the boys then sit down with their father where they opened up on the emotional family situation.
Adam told Dougie: "You always turn everything into a joke. You've never apologised, not once!"

Through tears an emotional Ryan added: “I just missed you everyday, dad.
“"Every day. Every single day, dad. Just waiting for you to come back."
"I didn't have the strength," Dougie admitted. To which Ryan responded: “We came here to find out about our heritage, but we're finding out about us as a family, you know?"
Dougie later advised them: "Don't ever do what I did."
